When you begin creating a blank map in the Spotzi geomarketing platform, you have the option to add a point, line, or polygon. However, the situation changes if there is already a point, line, or polygon present in the map layer. This is because a map layer can only contain one geometry type. If you initially chose points, for example, when creating a new map layer, you can only add points subsequently.
How do you resolve this?
If you have already added a point, line, or polygon to your map layer, there are two ways to resolve this issue.
If you want to make changes in the current map layer, you need to remove all geometries (points, lines, or polygons) from the current map layer first. For instance, if you want to change a map layer from points to polygons, you need to remove all points from the current map layer.
Do you also want to add other geometries to your dashboard? In other words, do you want to add polygons in addition to points? It's best to add an additional map layer. Here's how you do it:
